SPEAK TO AN ADVISOR

This webinar was hosted on Thursday, September 28th and is now available to watch on demand.

Thursday, September 28, 2023 - 11:00 am

Audit quality continues to dominate industry related headlines as regulators continue their process of raising the bar and look to reduce the gap between stakeholder expectations and the reality of external audit. Understanding the revised quality management standards at a firm and engagement level and refining processes for determining where things have gone wrong are more vital than ever before to the effective running of a practice.

One year on from the implementation of ISQM (UK) 1, firms must review their procedures and documentation and perform root cause analysis on any audit quality issues. Our expert speakers will guide you through the current requirements and root cause analysis techniques, providing you with a clear understanding of the practical steps needed and best practice.

We aim to give you all the tools you need to stay informed of key governance changes in the world of audit and accounting.

Our webinars are free to attend and are highly recommended to stay on top of crucial and hot topics in your industry. This webinar will help you to avoid pitfalls and adverse review findings from professional bodies and regulators.

What will I learn?

This webinar will help you to:

  • clearly define roles and responsibilities at both engagement (governed by ISA (UK) 220) and firm-wide (governed by ISQM (UK) 1) levels;
  • understand leadership-specific responsibilities with regards to quality management;
  • learn how to drive continual improvement by applying Root Cause Analysis techniques;
  • update processes to avoid common pitfalls and consider best practice examples.
