This webinar will cover key audit reminders for the 2023/24 reporting season, current topical issues and top tips for implementing new and revised UK auditing requirements. We’ll look at the points raised in the recent QAD report, cover ISA (UK) 220 and ISQM (UK) 2 as well as recap on ISA (UK) 240 and ISA (UK) 315.

We’ll also have a look at ISQM (UK) 1 and Root Cause Analysis, one year on from its effective date and the Croner-i tools available to help.

We’ll give an overview of upcoming changes that will affect auditors, including group auditors and the Ethical Standard, before touching on the audit impact of emerging external factors such as AI, the proposed audit reforms and a reminder of the new ICAEW CPD requirements.

Helen MacNeill FCA

Helen is the Lead Technical Writer for audit.

Helen MacNeill FCA has worked in a variety of audit-related roles in BDO LLP and as a freelance technical author for Implementing GAAS.

At Croner-i she is responsible for Navigate Audit including the Private Company Audit System (PCAS) and other audit programmes, ensuring that technical changes are processed promptly and comprehensively. At BDO LLP she was a core member of the technical department where she developed BDO’s audit automation tool and global audit manual. She also authored and delivered technical audit training materials and guidance for the UK audit teams.





Ashveeta Singh Harripersadh

Ashveeta is a Senior Technical Writer of audit and accounting content at Croner-i.

She works on a range of areas including Navigate Learning courses, audit, IFRS and UK GAAP.

Ashveeta is passionate about developing learning content in the audit and accounting industry to help people grow in their careers, encourage consistency and contribute to industry developments in a rapidly evolving world.

Previously, Ashveeta was a manager at Deloitte. She worked in the audit department with a focus on public sector audits. She has an in-depth technical knowledge of IFRS, FRS 102, various sector SORPs and the auditing standards. She then moved from core audit to the A&A Learning and Development team where she was responsible for the early career’s development courses which covered the curriculum from new joiner to manager level.
